I'm eager to assist you in advancing your skills and creativity as a painter.
Born and raised in Vietnam, surrounded by beautiful landscapes, I've always had a fascination with nature. I also grew up watching many animated movies and was instantly captivated by the magical worlds and stunning backgrounds portrayed in them. Inspired by the blend of fantasy and reality, my paintings often feature natural landscapes, such as forests, mountains, and clouds, but with a fantastical twist. I like to push the colors and add new elements to these real-life landscapes, creating a sense of whimsy and enchantment.
Gouache and poster color are my favorite mediums to paint with because of their versatility. With the right amount of water, I can create a wide range of paint mixtures, all the way from transparent to completely opaque.
Over the years, I've honed my skills and artistic expression through various painting techniques. With a growing community of 133k followers on Instagram and 37k subscribers on YouTube, I am dedicated to guiding you through an exploration of stylized nature background painting, transforming real-life scenery into magical worlds.

PAINTING CONCEPT
In 4 dedicated modules, we delve into the core elements of painting, covering shapes, values, light and shadows, colors, perspective, and the ways these elements impact our illustrative style. These are fundamental concepts that can be applied to any medium.
GOUACHE TECHNIQUES
In another 4 dedicated modules with over 10 lessons, you'll explore essential gouache techniques, including variations in water consistency, wet-on-wet, and wet-on-dry painting methods. Additionally, we'll delve into a variety of brush strokes. With just one brush, you'll be able to create a full-color painting, making your painting potential limitless even with limited supplies.
WORKING WITH REFERENCES
Nature is beautiful, but it doesn't always align with our artistic vision. In this course, we'll dissect the process of working with references, with a focus on composition, values, and the creation of a compelling focal point. This approach allows us to transform a basic reference into a captivating, stylized artwork.
PAINTING PRACTICE
We emphasize hands-on painting practice immediately following each lesson. Each exercise demonstrates how to apply what we've just learned to actual paintings. As you progress, your paintings will become more sophisticated. By the end of the course, you'll have created 4 artworks featuring a range of scenes, including cloudscape, forest, plants, and the galaxy.
